Until the end of 2019, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC will purchase two new trains from the Swiss company Stadler, Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Javid Gurbanov told reporters in Baku, Trend reports Oct. 11.
The railcars of new trains differ from the Russian-made ones in the application of high-quality sound insulation and devices absorbing the sound of wheels, the chairman said, adding that in total, their number reaches 40.
“These trains are characterized by high speed characteristics, as well as quality indicators,” Gurbanov noted.
