This morning Turkish security forces took part in an operation to apprehend drug traffickers in Istanbul, Sabah newspaper said on Tuesday.
The operation was conducted at 22 sites with helicopter backup.
Over 40 people were arrested and a large quantity of drugs seized during the operation. A criminal case has been lodged.
