Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend E.Huseynly / Efforts of journalists of several newspapers to hold an unofficial rally in Baku were unsuccessful. Action attended by representatives of the newspapers Azadlyg, Yeni Musavat (New), Baki Xeber (Baku News), Gundelik Azerbaijan (Daily)-Real Azerbaijan protested against the pressure of free press and journalists. The participants of the unofficial rally who began the action near Sabir Park came together at Icheri Sheher ( Old City) and only here they could read the text of the resolution. The requirements of the resolution include terminating pressure on the press and punishing killers of the Editor-in-Chief of Monitor Magazine, Elmar Huseynov.
No incidents were reported during the rally. Policemen observed the movement of the action participants from far away.
