Polish Citizens in  Azerbaijan to Vote at Baku Embassy during Polish Parliamentary Elections

Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Aghayeva / Polish citizens temporary residing in Azerbaijan will be able to vote during the parliamentary elections to take place in Poland on 21 October. A ballot station was established in the Polish Embassy in Azerbaijan, Polish Consul, Dariush Kaminski, said.

The Polish President signed an order which stipulates the elections of the Seym (parliament's lower chamber) and the Senate (parliament's upper chamber) which will take place on 21 October.

According to the Consul, there are between 50 and 60 Polish citizens in Azerbaijan. They are employees of the Embassy and their families, as well as employees of various companies.

"Voting is a democratic right of every citizen and that is up on him/her whether to vote or not," he said.

According to analysts, the main rival for 'Right & Justice' conservative party headed by President Kaczynski and his twin brother Yaroslav Kaczynski, the Prime Minister, will be the 'Civil Platform' liberal party.
