Iran, Tehran, 10 November / Trend corr. A.Namdari / Musarrza Sarvati, a member of the Iranian Parliament criticized the next open letter of 60 economists of the country, which was addressed to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The letter includes protests against economic policy of the government.

The Iranian economists sent the next open letter to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on 8 November. Criticizing economic policy of the government, they warned that continuation of such policy will lead to bad consequences.

"Majority of economists' criticism is groundless," Sarvati, the member of the standing economic commission of the Iranian Parliament, told Trend in his interview on 10 November.

According to Sarvati, several economists even do not have work experience. They want to apply a university theory in the country. This is not logical.

Supporting Ahmadinejad's idea on large expansion of the Islamic economy in the world, Sarvati said that an economic model, which bases on the Islamic principles, can be an example for the world.

The economists' letter describes weakness of economy, unemployment, rise of inflation ratio, crisis in money market, shortages of budget and problems in relations with other countries, which are result of incorrect economic policy of the government. Earlier, the Iranian economists sent two letters to Ahmadinejad, where they criticized some milestones in the economic policy of the government.

Previous letters of the economists were sent to the Iranian President in July 2007.
