Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said the world arrogant powers which have sustained a loss due to the unity of all Muslims and their interest in the Islamic Revolution, are trying to aggravate religious dogmatism to create disunity between the Shia and Sunni Muslims.

Ayatollah Khamenei was addressing thousands of people who met the supreme leader on the occasion of Eid-al Ghadir (Ghadir Feast), IRNA news agency reported. Expounding on the importance of the issue of 'government' in Islam, Ayatollah Khamenei said the big lesson and message of 'Ghadir' is showing a model of Islamic government.

Ayatollah Khamenei added that the Shia Muslims, while keeping their 'logical and brilliant beliefs' on the Ghadir event, won't let these beliefs be a 'cause for difference and discord' in the Muslim world.

"We have known for a long time that a center affiliated with the world arrogance has been paying the money for publication of books containing false accusations and abusive language against Shia and Sunni Muslims," Ayatollah Khamenei said.

Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the efforts made by certain forces to make some Arab leaders confront the nuclear rights of Iran and some other demands of Iranian nation and said this is the most that the enemy can do but these Arab states have their own 'reservations' and are not ready to be fully in the service of US and the Zionists to confront Iran.

Starting from Dec. 16 in New York, five countries - the UN Security Council's permanent members (the USA, Great Britain, France, Russia and China) and Foreign Minister of Germany (group 5+1) conduct discussions on the nuclear question of Iran with the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council member states, Egypt, Iraq and Jordan.

The Foreign Minister of Egypt, Ahmet Abdul-Geyz expressed his apprehension by the role of Iran in the region.

He warned that the tension in the region will be strengthened.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran tries to carry out its policy in the region and use the Palestinians to achieve its goals," said the Foreign Minister of Egypt.

Ayatollah Khamenei concluded the world arrogant powers may hatch any kind of plot, but if the Iranian nation and other Muslim nations are aware, the hegemonic powers won't be able to materialize their hostile objectives in weakening the Islamic Ummah.

Up to now, the UN Security Council has introduced three sanctions against Iran uranium enrichment program, but official Teheran continues this nuclear program.

After the joint meeting of countries 5+1 in the United Nations with the Arab states, the U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice briefed the media that the participants of the meeting were concerned by the nuclear program of Iran and by the policy of this country in the region.
