Georgia, Tbilisi, Feb. 3 / Trend , N.Kirtskhalia/
The Georgian Conservative Party has launched an initiative to create a public council to investigate the death of Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania. The council will include representatives of the opposition and governing party who enjoy the public's confidence, a Conservative Party leader Bezhan Gunava said at a press conference today.
Gunava said the authorities made an erroneous conclusion about Zhvania's death four years ago. They announced that the former PM died from gas poisoning, he added.
"On that day, Merabishvili made a mistake because four years ago on Feb. 3, Georgian democracy was poisoned. It should be noted that most Georgians do not believe the official version of Zhvania's death," he said. Gunava was officially reported as having died from gas poisoning.
