The Georgian Foreign Ministry responded today to the report spread in the Russian media about the fact that President Medvedev issued a decree to legalize contracts in the military sphere with Sukhumi and Tskhinvali regimes.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the decision once again explains why Russia does not agree with presence of international organizations' missions in the occupied regions of Georgia.

Georgia once again calls upon the international community to compel Russia to cease the militarization of the occupied territories of Georgia and respect the principles and norms of international law, as well as assumed international obligations.
