Azerbaijani police detained earlier convicted drug dealer.
Residents of Baku, earlier convicted Ilham Mohsunov and Alizadeh Mammadov joined crime confederation were detained while trying to sell 10 kilogram of hashish as a result of operative-search actions conducted by employees of head department for combat with organized crime, press-service of the interior ministry told Trend on July 1.
Criminal case was filed.
Roughly 2,723 facts of illegal turnover of drug were indicated in 2008. This index hits 359 facts compared to 2007. Roughly 1,044 facts connected with sale of drug, 1,566 - with keeping of drug, 97 - illegal cultivation of drug.
Over 116 kilogram of drug was revealed Among 54 foreigners in 2008.
Roughly 24 people are Iran's citizens, 17 - Georgia's citizens, 12 - Russia's citizens, 1 - Ukraine's citizen among foreigners detained for illegal turnover of drug.
