Twelve Georgian sailors released by a court in the Philippines will return home Feb. 10, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at a press briefing today, noting that the Georgian side has booked their tickets.

"It is difficult to say the exact date of their return. The decision to release them has been already made, but the technical details have yet to be resolved," she said.

Kalandadze said head of the Georgian Foreign Ministry's Consular Department Giorgi Tabatadze is arriving in Philippines.

The sailors were detained along with the rest of the crew of a Panamanian ship charged with smuggling arms last summer. The court has acquitted them.
