FM: Georgian president to hold meetings within Lisbon Summit

The presidents of countries participating in peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan will attend a meeting in Lisbon in parallel to the NATO summit.
Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili will also attend the meeting, Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at a briefing today.
The president plans to meet with his Turkish counterpart, and the British, Australian and Czech prime ministers during the visit to Lisbon, Kalandadze said.
She said that this meeting will be held on Nov. 20.
Meanwhile, the NATO summit will held from Nov. 19-20.
Kalandadze said the summit is important for Georgia, as a number of new initiatives will be implemented at the event. A new concept of the alliance's strategy will also be adopted.
