Parliamentary elections held in Azerbaijan on Nov. 7 have been positively evaluated at the winter session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, member of Azerbaijani delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, MP Eldar Ibrahimov told Trend.
Ibrahimov said despite some shortcomings pointed out in the speech of Head of OSCE observation mission for the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan Wolfgang Grossruk, as well as a new report issued by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, the parliamentary assembly welcomed the elections held in Azerbaijan.
Representatives of Russia, Kazakhstan and Italy voiced positive assessments, he added.
The meeting of the Standing Committee of the OSCE PA in Vienna had heard reports on the parliamentary elections held in different countries.
