Defense Minister of Azerbaijan Safar Abiyev met Commander of Turkey's Land Troops, Army Gen. Erdal Jeylanoglu in Baku on Monday.
Speaking at an enlarged meeting, Abiyev said the Turkish-Azerbaijani inseparable links are getting stronger, and the fraternal ties are based upon the national and statehood interests of the two countries, the press service of the Defense Ministry told Trend.
Sharing this thought with his counterpart, the Turkish guest said it is essential to strengthen this brotherhood.
Prospects of military cooperation development were the main topic discussed at the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Hulusi Kylyj, Turkey's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, and Brigade Gen. Ozhan Ayash, Turkey's Military Attaché to Azerbaijan.
