A delegation of the Spanish Foreign Ministry will pay a two-day visit to Georgia on Tuesday, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said.
She said the Georgian side will describe the country's situation to the Spanish guests.
"Spain plays a big role in the mediation of Spanish-speaking countries where we do not have diplomatic representation. Spain lobbies for our country to establish relations with Latin America", Kalandadze said.
Kalandadze said that Spain's one problematic issue is the lack of an official Spanish representative in Georgia. Thus, Georgian citizens face difficulties in obtaining Spanish visas.
"A long dialogue has begun on this issue, which will be discussed during the visit," Kalandadze said.
