Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is expected to attend a meeting of the Turkey-Azerbaijan Strategic Cooperation Council to be held in Turkey, the Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic told journalists on Thursday.
He said that President Aliyev's participation at the meeting was coordinated during the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to Azerbaijan.
Kilic said the meeting is scheduled for Nov. 15.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Abdullah Gul signed an "Agreement on strategic partnership and mutual assistance between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey" in Istanbul on Aug. 16.
