UNDP Administrator to visit Georgia

The UN Development Programme (UNDP) Administrator Helen Clark will visit Georgia.

As reported by the UN Office in Georgia, on February17-19, she will meet with representatives of the Georgian government, international organizations and civil society.

On February 17, Clark will visit Kachreti vocational college, become acquainted with the program of training of machine operators, and meet with local farmers, students and teachers.
A meeting of the UN Development Programme Administrator with the Minister of Agriculture of Georgia David Kirvalidze and Minister of Education,Deputy Prime Minister Giorgi Margvelashvili will take also place in Kachreti.

On February 18-19, Helen Clark will meet with Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili, President Mikheil Saakashvili, Speaker David Usupashvili, Justice Minsiter Thea Tsulukiani and Foreign Minister Maya Panjikidze.

Helen Clark is one of the senior officials of the United Nations. She is the head of the UN Development Group, which brings together the leaders of all funds, programs and departments of the United Nations.

In 2009, Helen Clark became the first woman to lead the UN Development Program. In the past she has served as a successful Prime Minister of New Zealand.
