Undoubtedly Iran has made great progress in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), but it is unknown how it is going to deploy these achievements, former Commander of the Armed Forces of Ira and military expert Hossein Aryan told Trend on Thursday.

"Iran claims its drones are able to carry missile weapons based on Stells technology, but we have not seen it yet. Two years ago it was already announced that the Karrar drone was a missile carrier, but it is hard to say exactly if it was true or not," Aryan said.

"Today, April 18 was the Day of the Armed Forces of Iran," he said.

"In this regard, a military parade consisting of new armoured personnel carriers and simulators for helicopters was held in Tehran. It demonstrated achievements in the field of military communications and the presentation of the telecommunications system Sayyad 40 was shown.

"It was first time when Hazim 3, Ababil, Shahid 129 and the Saril unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as the Ya Zəhra - 3 and Mirsad -3 air defence systems were demonstrated at a military parade. Iran's potential in the field of UAVs should be compared with the potential of those countries that pose a threat to Iran," Arin added.

According to him, the threat to Iran in the region is represented by the United States and Israel and the strength of the U.S. in the UAV field is obvious.

Iranian drones can take photos, transmit live video from the scene of operation and have a high capacity in the field of weather, fishing and other areas.
