Pakistan’s observation mission gives good assessment of presidential election in Azerbaijan

The observation mission from Pakistan's Parliament gave a good assessment to the presidential election in Azerbaijan and congratulates Ilham Aliyev on his victory, head of the mission, Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed said at a press conference today.
"Azerbaijan is an island of development and prosperity in the region," he said.
According to the head of the mission, which includes representatives of six political parties of Pakistan, the elections followed the country's laws.
"No significant violations were revealed during the voting," he said.
He also expressed Pakistani MPs' full support to Azerbaijan in the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The Azerbaijani presidential election was held on October 9. According to the results announced by the Azerbaijani CEC after processing, 99.53 percent of the ballots, President Ilham Aliyev gathered 3,118,287 votes (84.59 percent).
