Ukrainian FM meets ambassadors of CIS countries

On the occasion of the beginning of the presidency of Ukraine in the Commonwealth of Independent States, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara met ambassadors of the CIS member states.
During the meeting the priorities of the presidency of Ukraine in the CIS and cooperation between the CIS member states were discussed, according to a message posted on the website of Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
Kozhara made a particular emphasis on the economic component of cooperation within the framework of presidency of Ukraine in CIS, especially on the preparation of draft agreements on pipeline transport transit, free trade in services, gradual abolition of export duties.
Under its Presidency Ukraine will pay special attention to the development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
Heads of diplomatic missions of CIS member states expressed confidence in the success of the Ukrainian Presidency and assure to support its priorities.
Meanwhile, the year 2014 was declared the Year of Tourism in Commonwealth holding of the Kiev international tourism forum and the Council of tourism of CIS was scheduled.
