Results of polls in some constituencies can be annulled

“The Central Elections Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan continues study of complaints addressed from different constituencies and it will sent every violation of criminal character to the Prosecutor’s Office, Natik Mammadov, the Secretary of the CEC told Trend.

Within 20 days the CEC check up the results of the parliamentary elections held on 6 November and complete it by 26-27 November. Mammadov noted possible cancellation of the results of polls in some constituencies.

The CEC has annulled the results of the parliamentary elections in the Second Binagadi Constituency 9, Sumgayit 42 and Zakatala 110 and sent the necessary documents to the Prosecutor Office. The heads of the constituency commissions were arrested.

Upon completion of revision by the CEC, the results were will be submitted to the Constitution Court, which will make sentence within 10 days of study of the results.
