Nizamy Pashayev, the Azerbaijani weight-lifter, won a golden medal at the World Championship held in Qatar, Trend reports.
The sportsman (94 kg) lifted 185 kg weight and became a leader. Though Nizamy gained only 4th result (216 kg) in the clean and jerk, he was best in the double-event (401 kg). Pashayev left Russian Muhammad Sozayev and Bulgarian Milen Dobryov, the 2nd and 3rd places. Pashayev became a world champion for the second time.
Other Azerbaijani sportsman Alibay Samedov (94 kg) demonstrated the 20th result in the double-event.
