“The United Azerbaijan Union (UAU) has not been able to hold its session for 8 years due to financial problems,” Agil Samadbayly, the chairman of UAU, told Trend.
According to Samadbayly, holding of the session requires at least from $15,000 to $20,000. “We addressed to some places in this regard, but did not receive reply,” he underlined.
He also stressed that attention to the organization decreased after ex-President Abulfaz Elchibay, the founder of UAU, died in 2000.
