The Central Election Committee (CEC) of Azerbaijan has not received invitation to observe parliamentary elections in Ukraine in March 2006, the CEC international ties department head Rovzet Gasimov told Trend.
He said the invitation from the government of Ukraine might come on the eve of the parliamentary votes. As for the by-elections observing in Azerbaijan on 13 May 2006 Gasimov said, in this regard the invitations to foreign states will be sent by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after which the foreign observers will arrive in Azerbaijan several days before the voting.
