International Center of the Financial-Economic Development- Azerbaijan (ICFED-Azerbaijan), founded by the Russian ICFED meta-holding opening ceremony was held in the Baku business-center on March 29, Trend reports. Azerbaijani Economic Development minister, Heydar Babayev, has welcomed the arrival of the Russian holding to Azerbaijan. He expressed his hope that ICFED will take a significant place in the Azerbaijani business life, on informational and technological markets. Attraction of the modern technologies, consulting service and intellectual development are very important in the modern conditions of the economy development with low share of the private sector in Azerbaijan. Foreign companies express the great interest for cooperation in this area. Including PriceWaterhouseCoopers Company, but we are glad to attract services of such a prestigious center in Baku, he said.

ICFED is a strategically important partner and its arrival is a result of development of the Azerbaijani-Russian relations, the minister said.

The major mission of ICFED according to the holding ` s General Director, Maxim Mejanski is the assistance to the economic revival in Azerbaijan via increasing financial and management experts qualification. According to him, the holding is ready to make huge contributions to publishing and educational projects. Two magazines for managers, experts, heads of the business processes and financial streams, HR services Entrepreneur and Labor and Law have been released.

Realization of educational programs (introduction of the leading technologies, long- distance education, business education), consulting services ( introduction of the modern technologies in audit, taxation and accounting services, informational technologies and application of the encryption technology) are among the holding plans, ICFED Director General in Azerbaijan, Tofik Babayev said. Three centers were created in Ganja, Sheki and Lenkoran to provide services in the regions.

Our business is an intellectual one and we invest to bring technologies into educational, publishing and consulting services, Mejanski said. Today holding `s branches exist in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. It is explained by the fact that these countries are the most dynamically developing ones in the region.
