Meeting of the Islamic Conference Organization (ICO) tourism ministers will be held in Baku on September 9- 12, the Azerbaijani minister of culture and tourism, Abulfaz Garayev told Trend.
The given meeting was previously planned on July.
The ministry is actively preparing for this event now, all necessary documents with the regard of meetings agenda and schedule will be transferred to Azerbaijani foreign ministry, Garayev said.
The decision to hold ICO tourism ministers meetng in Baku was made during the conference of organization`s foreign ministers. Azerbaijani proposal to host the meeting has been approved by all 57 members of the organization.
Besides matters of tourism development in Islamic countries the meeting will also discuss destruction of cultural heritage by Armenia.
