Trend Establishes 3 More Agencies

New projects of Trend Agency are expected to be launched. We are installing a huge informative portal that will be gradually filled with different sites. In result, new web resources, information and special economic data is expected to be presented to our readers. A totally new project preliminary called Trend Life will consist of social news, culture, show-business, fashion, health, culinary, etc. The internet-forum of the News Agency (forum.trendaz.com) has already been presented to our readers. Trend photo-site with pictures made by professional agency photographs will be launched soon.

Ilgar Huseynov, Director of Trend Agency, says:

First of all, from the bottom of my heart I would like to congratulate the staff of Trend Agency with winning the prestigious national business-award Best Company 2006, in the nomination of Mass Media of Azerbaijan. I think that we deserved it. It will require and lead us to more mobilize our efforts and efficiency. The Agency has performed for 11 years, and during that time many well-known Azerbaijan journalists have passed our school. Trend staff is professional with a colossal potential. I believe in the bright future of our team.

Presently, some radical changes in the activity of the Agency are under the completion. The matter concerns a new conception, as well as new approaches of the agency activity.

Analyses of the current international tendencies show that people, who have recently watched TV and read newspapers and magazines, are paying more and more attention to the Internet. The last research on this issue was conducted a month ago by experts from German Deutsche Bank. They have approved that in average people read newspapers and magazines, as well as watch TV by 5 minutes less. People spend 10 more minutes in the Global Network. Azerbaijan might have other figures, but the tendency, I am sure, is the same. Surely, we are taking into consideration peculiarities of our society, and certainly those from abroad, since the majority of our readers are from there.

The new conception of the activity of the Agency has been worked out taking into consideration all these tendencies. Today, Trend is a news agency with a multi-directional correspondent network both in country and abroad. Most of our journalists are leaders in the spheres they are involved in, and we are continuing to cement the professionalism of our news service. However, we have taken a decision on preparing new tendencies for the activity of the Agency where we are about to take the interests of a more wide circle of web users into account. The users may find on new Trend portal whatever they want. We are interested in developing the advertising constituent of the Agency activity as well as financially fortify our development. It means that Trend Agency is significantly expanding the scope of its activity and beginning to build its work in accordance with the current tendencies in the IT market development. Very soon, Trend will present new and interesting projects that are currently kept secret, but the symbiosis of all that will support us in our goal achievement. Virtually, Trend is establishing three more agencies. And we are sure that the structural changes will allow us to significantly extend the geography of our information distribution.

Considering the international experience, I need to stress out the following important tendency: management and professional journalism are neatly divided from each other in the leading media sources today, and it is just managers who decide which goods, information in our case, should be delivered to the clients. This approach allows taking an advantage in conditions of stringent competency, and we consider it as being the most important aspect in providing the dynamics of growth.

We have chosen our own strategy of development, and we perfectly realize that in order to achieve our goals, it is necessary to prepare our journalists and staff, so they could speak several foreign languages, correct the form of handling the information, its content, collect the work experience with the expanding foreign correspondent network, and finally to create the mood of the staff so they can reach the goals, as well as establish partner relations with World leading media sources from these points of view. Our ultimate aim is to attain more international recognition.

Up to date, Trend Agency has become one of the leaders among news agencies of the FSU (Former Soviet Union) countries. Another indisputable evaluation of the activity of our staff is the increase in the number of foreign readers, citing our materials and pieces of information in the internationally known media sources. Due to their professionalism, Trend journalists managed taking interviews both with top officials of the country and many internationally influential and authoritative figures from abroad.

The staff of the Agency is sure that the successful implementation of our projects is simultaneously of a great importance for forming a positive image of the country abroad. Today, the country is doing a lot to propagate its national interests abroad, and I think that just Azerbaijani media sources ought to completely and adequately bring the information to the attention of the international community. I think that the promotion of Azerbaijani vision on many regional processes and events in the international information network is of a great importance in counteracting Armenian aggression, including the informative one.
