Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend , corr. E. Husseynli/ This night, the Ganja District Branch of Azerbaijan's Opposition Party - "Musavat" has been attacked by policemen. Today, the Party's Information and Press Department has said that several policemen have forced locks of the Party's Ganja headquarters, seized, and load all things that were at the office on lorries and then brought all these to the Police Department.
Later, a member of the Majlis (Assembly) of "Musavat", Jahangir Amirkhanli was informed about what had happened. Late tonight Mr. Amirkhanli and several activists of opposition party "Musavat" came to the Political Department and gave back the things belong to them.
The opposition Party has said that they have intentions to appeal to diplomatic corpuses and international quartered in Azerbaijan.
However, the Ganja District Police Department has not confirmed the accuracy of this piece of information.
