Azerbaijan, Baku, 23 May / Trend News corr. R.Ergun / Ali Ismayilov, the Azerbaijani professional boxer won the boxing match in St.Petersburg, the Russian media reported.
Ismayilov fought against the Brazilian boxer, Pedro Otasl, to gain the title of WBO Latino version Championship. Ismayilov won the Brazilian boxer by knock-out.
The Azerbaijani boxer won 12 boxing matches out of total 14, in the boxing tournament.
Ismayilov will attend the boxing matches in the Los Angeles as well.
For ten years Ismayilov had been the captain of the Azerbaijani national boxing team. Ismayilov is known as 'bronze Ali'- thanks to the bronze medals he won in the World and European Championships.
