Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 23 / Trend , R.Ergun/ Opening ceremony of the Football Academy will take place in Jan. 2009, Rovnag Abdullayev, the President of the Azerbaijan Football Federations Association (AFFA), told journalists on Dec. 23.
Michel Platini, the President of UEFA, got familiarization with construction of the Football Academy during his visit to Azerbaijan on Jul. Platini told journalists that UEFA allocated finance to implement this project.
Officials of the AFFA visited Germany to get familiarization with work principle of the Football Academy in Nurnberg city and to study education system of the Academy early Dec.
Abdullayev said that the Azerbaijani football is in a right way. "At present I am satisfied with work done to develop the Azerbaijani football," the President of the AFFA said.
