Iranian universities are interested in developing ties with higher education institutions of Azerbaijan.
"If the conditions are created for the education of Azerbaijani students at Iranian universities, we are ready to provide them with scholarships," Mahbuba Myubashiri, Rector of the University of Al Zahra, where only girls get eduaction, told Trend.
During the conference held yesterday by the Federation of Islamic Universities, the rectors of the Iranian universities discussed this issue at a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohammad Baghir Bahrami, she said.
The University of Al Zahra recently demonstrated the fashion show of Islamic clothes. "We told the ambassador about our willingness to show this exhibition in Azerbaijan as well. Ambassador approved our proposal and said that he would do everything possible to organize it," said Myubashiri.
"Besides, we are ready to admit Azerbaijani students to our universities, we can arrange short-term trainings for them. We can exchange teachers and students," she said. Myubashiri expressed her readiness to organize trainings to teach Azerbaijani language at the University of Al Zahra.
"The Azerbaijani language is also used in Iran, and to eliminate the difference between the two accents, we can arrange three to six months trainings, inviting teachers from the Azerbaijani universities. I thing to organize them will greatly help development of relations," Myubashiri said.
