Pilots of Azerbaijani Air Force for the first time flew the F-16 two-seat training-fighter jets on Sept. 24, jointly with Turkish pilots.
The flights were conducted as part of ongoing joint military and tactical drills, according to a message from the Defence Ministry of Azerbaijan.
The overall readiness of aviation equipment and the pilots' skills in operating the aircraft of this type were checked during the drills.
The joint drills of the Azerbaijani and Turkish air forces will continue until October 3.
