Relevant structures in Azerbaijan will provide construction services on a paid basis.
This issue is reflected in the amendments to the Urban Planning and Construction Code of Azerbaijan, which were adopted at a plenary session of the Azerbaijani Parliament on March 5, 2019, Trend reports.
With the new amendments, services for checking the compliance of construction projects with urban planning documents, as well as other services provided by the relevant structure in the field of construction activities, will become paid.
Previously, only compliance checking services were paid, as per the Code.
Other changes are related to the regulation and improvement of urban planning activities.
During the procedure for granting a building permit, the compliance of the building projects with urban planning documents will be checked first, according to the bill.
Corresponding additions to the Code were also proposed for enhancing the social protection of government employees in the areas of urban planning and construction.
According to the additions, 50 percent of the funds collected for violation of the requirements of the Code will be used to enhance the social protection of workers.
