PARIS, France, August 11. Another meeting dedicated to the victory of Azerbaijani athletes was held in the Olympic House of Azerbaijan, which operates in Paris as part of the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games, Trend reports.
At the meeting, athletes Alfonso Dominguez, Giorgi Meshvildishvili, who won silver and bronze medals at the Olympic Games, as well as the Azerbaijani rhythmic gymnastics team, which successfully performed in the final stage of the Olympics and took 5th place, were greeted with applause. The event participants congratulated the athletes on their victory and expressed pride in them.
Members of the Azerbaijani Olympic team, Olympic and world champions, representatives of sports delegations from various countries, athletes representing Azerbaijan at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, their coaches, representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora, foreign guests, media representatives and other persons took part in the event.
Athletes and specialists from foreign countries, as well as speakers at the event, congratulated Azerbaijan on the successful performance of athletes at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris. The names of the flag bearers of the National Olympic Team of Azerbaijan at the closing ceremony of the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games were announced at the event. The honor of carrying the flag of Azerbaijan was entrusted to taekwondo athlete, Olympic silver medalist Gashim Magomedov and the most experienced member of the rhythmic gymnastics team Zeynab Hummatova.
The event continued with a variety of Azerbaijani music performed by young singer Mardan Kazimov.
