(Hollywood.com) - American wrestler Brian Adams has been found dead at his Tampa, Florida home. He was 43. Adams was discovered "by his wife unconscious in bed not breathing", according to a police report obtained by website tmz.
According to a statement issued by the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment), the cause of Adams' passing is currently unknown.
Born in Hawaii, Adams was best known as Crush in the wrestling tag team Demolition.
This a major blow for professional wrestling as the news comes less than two months after wrestler Chris Benoit asphyxiated his wife Nancy and seven-year-old son Daniel, before hanging himself at the family's home in Georgia. Adams, who was the World Tag Team champion, retired from wresteling in 2003 after he suffered a spinal injury. A post mortem is to take place today to confirm cause of death.
