BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 10. According to the results of the first four months 2022, the volume of Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover increased, Trend reports with reference to the country’s State Statistics Committee.

Committee said that Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $16.8 billion (taking into account the statistical cost of crude oil and natural gas, customs clearance of which was not completed), including export - $12.7 billion, imports - $4.04 billion.

The trade surplus exceeded $8.7 billion, as a result.

According to the committee, legal entities and individuals in Azerbaijan conducted trade operations with partners from 155 countries during the reporting period.

Azerbaijan exported its products to 104 countries and imported from 144 from January through April 2022.

Committee noted that foreign trade turnover in actual prices increased by 73.9 percent, in real terms - by 9.8 percent, including exports - by 18.3 percent, and imports decreased by 4.8 percent compared to the reporting period 2021.

At the same time, 37.4 percent of Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover in this period fell on Italy, Turkiye - 12.3 percent, Russia - 5.6 percent, China - 4 percent, Israel - 3.5 percent, the UK - 2.9 percent, Ukraine - 2.6 percent, Portugal - 2.5 percent, India, Germany, and Greece - 2.4 percent each, Georgia - 2.1 percent, Spain - 1.8 percent, Thailand - 1.6 percent, Kazakhstan - 1.4 percent, Tunisia - 1.1 percent, Iran - one percent, and 13 percent - to other countries.
