BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 19. Azerbaijan’s propylene output stood at 43,400 tons from January through March 2023, which is 8.5 percent more than in the same period of the previous year, Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
In the reporting period, 47,400 tons of polyethylene were manufactured in Azerbaijan, which is 13.1 percent more year-over-year.

In 2022, Azerbaijan produced 134,700 tons of propylene, 134,700 tons of polyethylene, 139,800 tons of ethylene, 194.7 tons of iodine, 5.488 million cubic meters of oxygen, 534,500 tons of methanol, and 23.406 million cubic meters of nitrogen.
A year earlier, in 2021, the country manufactured 146,400 tons of propylene, 164,700 tons of polyethylene, 168,400 tons of ethylene, 167.5 tons of iodine, 9.6 million cubic meters of oxygen, 378,200 tons of methanol, and 22.481 million cubic meters of nitrogen.
