BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 6. Azerbaijan's Unibank is adapting its processing center, the Head of the Digitalization Department at the bank, Sattar Kazimov told Trend.
"Now, our main focus is on adapting our infrastructure for more significant growth, which involves transitioning internal services to microservices and extracting them from corporate systems. Accordingly, we are adapting all our products to meet more modern challenges and technologies," Kazimov said.
"Take, for example, the arrival of Leo Bank in Azerbaijan, which, as our application shows, shows that simplicity and accessibility of services are a top priority. Therefore, at this stage, in the coming year, we are placing a greater emphasis on refactoring and making it easier for our customers to access banking products and services."
He also mentioned that the immediate plans include increasing the number of customers.
"Along with increasing the number of customers, our plans include expanding the range of services and products. By simplifying our infrastructure, we plan to bring certain services to the market more quickly and make them faster and more accessible to our customers," he added.
Unibank is one of the largest private banks established in Azerbaijan in July 1992 under the name of MBank. On October 15, 2002, after the merger of MBank with PROMTEKHBANK, one of the leading banks in Azerbaijan, the bank's name was changed to Unibank.
The main goal of Unibank's activities is to focus on the wishes, needs, and convenience of its customers.
In 2021, Unibank established Leobank for the first time in Azerbaijan in accordance with the principle of "mobile-only" (branch-free bank). Leo customers have the opportunity to use a convenient Visa card with a credit limit, make payments and transfers, receive cashback, and enjoy many other advantages.
