ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 17. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has appointed former Finance Minister Yerulan Zhamaubayev as the First Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Trend reports via the press service of Kazakhstan’s president.
"By order of Kazakhstan’s President, Yerulan Kenzhebekovich Zhamaubayev has been appointed First Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and he has been relieved of his previous position," the press service of the President of Kazakhstan stated.
To note, since 2024, Yerulan Zhamaubayev has served as an advisor to the President of Kazakhstan. Prior to that, from 2022, he worked as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Before that, he held the position of Minister of Finance from 2020 to 2022.
