BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 11.​ Azerbaijan has invited Moldovan businesses to explore opportunities for cooperation in the Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ), said Azerbaijan’s Minister of Agriculture, Majnun Mammadov, Trend reports.

In his speech at the Azerbaijan-Moldova Business Forum, Mammadov urged Moldovan business representatives to explore the potential for investment and the creation of joint ventures in the AFEZ, emphasizing the advantages of such opportunities.

"Today, during the session of the joint intergovernmental commission, we thoroughly discussed new prospects and areas for cooperation. Trade, energy, agriculture, tourism, and education were identified as key sectors for future interaction between the business communities of Azerbaijan and Moldova," the minister said.

Mammadov further noted that the strong economic potential of both countries and their solid political ties will pave the way for tangible results in the future.

"Overall, diversifying Azerbaijan's economy remains our top priority. A favorable business environment has been established in Azerbaijan for investors," he highlighted.
