The Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry has launched hotline at 195-2, Deputy Economic Development Minister, Niyazi Safarov, said on Sept.1.

"This will enable to continue the development of relations between the government and entrepreneurs and improve the supply of entrepreneurs with necessary information, as well as timely answer the question within the competence of the ministry," Safarov added.

According to the head of the department for policy on development of entrepreneurship, Zaur Gasimov, the hotline was connected to 195 service at the Taxes Ministry to ensure a speedy and efficient connection of telephone service all over the country. The hotline service would work in live mode on weekdays from 09:00 to 18:00 without a break.

The electronic-legislative base was established to provide an efficient work of the hotline service. The service may receive four calls at the same time.

The creation of the hotline service at the ministry will ensure to cover a large spectrum of questions, rather than 195-1, hotline service, Head of the ministry's department of customer services, Elchin Mammadov added.

According to Mammadov, the Economic Development Ministry and the National Entrepreneurship Support Fund, under the support of the Taxes Ministry establish computer terminals allowing entrepreneurs to obtain the electronic data about the legislative base and improve their access to database. At present, about 15 terminals operate in the country. It is planned to install a terminal in every region of the country by late2013.

About 87,000 legal entities and 277 enterprises with legal status have been registered in the country, President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers), Mammad Musayev said.

The hotline service 195, which has operated since 2003, takes taxpayers' questions, receives complaints on both violation of tax laws and actions (inactions) of officials of tax agencies. So, one button should be pressed for the Ministry of Taxes and two Ministry of Economic Development.

The service enables taxpayers to get answers to questions about different types of taxes, registration on the ''single window'' principle and tax records, rules and deadlines for filing tax reports, electronic declarations. Taxpayers can get known the amount of their tax debts. 319,439 taxpayers in 2008 and 158,641 taxpayers in the first half of 2009 benefited this service.
