Some 192,617 appeals were received by the Central Credit Register Service under the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) in May 2013, the CBA's statistical report published on Thursday on its website said.

In comparison with the same period of 2012, when there were 80,361 such inquires, the number of the service calls has increased by 2.4 times.

In May, the credit register received 192,093 requests from banks and 524 persons applied in order to obtain credit reports.

By the end of May, the number of borrowers, about which there are data in the credit registry, was 1,712,332 and the total number of credit data was 5,127,773.

The number of data on guarantors, available in the registry is 621,852.

The Central Credit Register Service has been operating since March, 2005.

The rate of a single query for a physical entity is 1.1 manats, for a legal entity two manats. The Credit Register does not have commercial goals; the tariffs are imposed for covering the administrative expenditures.

The official exchange rate on July 4 is 0.7844 AZN / USD.
