Number of appeals to credit registry ups by over twofold in Azerbaijan

Some 169,120 appeals were received by the Central Credit Register Service under the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) in June 2013, the CBA's statistics report said today.

According to the report, the number of the appeals to the service increased by 2.15 times compared to the same period of 2012 (78,566 appeals).

In June, the credit register service received 168,780 requests from banks and 340 persons appealed to obtain credit reports.

As of late June, the number of borrowers, whose data is included in the credit register service, was 1,741,989 and the total number of credit data was 5,286,016.

The number of data on guarantors, available in the register service is 632,252.

The Central Credit Register Service has been operating since March, 2005.

The rate of a single query for a physical entity is 1.1 manat, for a legal entity two manat. The Credit Register Service does not have commercial goals; the tariffs are imposed for covering the administrative expenditures.

The official exchange rate is 0.7844 AZN/USD on August 7.
