The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) does not intend to withdraw coins from circulation, said a message posted on the CBA’s website Sept. 7.
According to the message, the tender announced for purchase of the coin crushing system was wrongly interpreted by some media outlets.
The issue concerns unusable coins and the ones out of circulation, the message said.
