The production value of vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers in Kazakhstan reached 39.5 billion tenges in the first quarter of 2018, which is more than a double increase, compared to the same period of 2017, Energy Prom reported.
The largest volume of vehicle production is concentrated in the East Kazakhstan region - 61.4 percent of the total volume of production in Kazakhstan, (24.3 billion tenges, increasing by 2.4 times year over year). The increase is mainly due to the giant of the industry Asia Auto’s production.
The list of leaders in the production of vehicles of Kazakhstan includes Kostanay region (28.7 percent of the total production in Kazakhstan - 11.4 billion tenges, four-fold annual growth), Akmola region (5.7 percent of total production in Kazakhstan, 2.2 billion tenges, 61 percent increase year over year), and Almaty (2.3 percent of the total production volume in Kazakhstan, 929 million tenges).
The largest company of the industry SaryarkaAvtoProm, KAMAZ-Engineering and Hyundai Trans Auto operate in the mentioned regions.
The increase in auto production in Kazakhstan continues for the second year. The output volumes of vehicles jumped almost threefold in 2017, compared to 2016.
