Syringes produced in Azerbaijan will be exported to foreign countries, founder of Azerbaijan’s Diamed Co Ayten Guliyeva told Trend.
in her words, after the company can fully meet the demand in the domestic market, the products will be delivered to Russia, Georgia, Iran and the countries of Central Asia.
The founder of the company noted that the main task at the moment is to satisfy the domestic market and reduce syringe imports to a minimum.
Guliyeva said that in 2017, 136 million syringes worth 7 million manats were imported to Azerbaijan.
The founder of the company went on to say that the equipment for the Diamed Co syringe plant was supplied from Germany, Switzerland, Turkey, Italy and the UK.
The opening of the Diamed Co syringe plant took place in mid-May 2019. The plant is located in Pirallahi industrial park. The production capacity of the plant is 150 million syringes per year.
Established in 2016, the industrial park specializes in the production of pharmaceutical products. Here, like in other industrial parks, investors are exempt from various taxes and customs duties for seven years.
There are four residents in the Pirallahi industrial park including joint Azerbaijani-Russian plant Hayat Pharm, Azerbaijani-Iranian plant Caspian Pharmed, the plant of Diamed Co and the plant of the company IFFA.
