Uzbek State Statistics Committee names goods with highest price increase

State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan named six types of non-food products that became leaders in price increases in the first half of 2019, Trend reports with reference to the Committee.

The committee noted that in annual terms, the highest growth was observed in prices for coal for domestic needs - 1.7 times, printed materials - by 21 percent, matches - by 19 percent, communication equipment - by 17.2 percent, tobacco products - by 16.8 percent and washing and cleaning products - by 14.8 percent.

As follows from the report, prices for fabrics and yarn increased at a more moderate pace by 12.2 percent, household textiles by 11.7 percent, clothing by 11.3 percent, and footwear by 10.3 percent.

The price of building materials increased by only 3.9 percent over the year.
