Azerbaijan’s Baku Textile Factory eyes to increase production volumes

Azerbaijan’s Baku Textile Factory is working to strengthen the production potential of the enterprise, Sakina Babayeva, the director of the factory and head of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan, told Trend.

She said that the company plans to increase production by 20 percent.

“The current production volumes amount to about 600,000 textile products every month,” she noted. “We plan to increase this figure by the end of this year by opening new production lines. The company sells products worth 700,000 manats monthly. We expect to increase the company’s income by increasing production capacity of the enterprise.”

She added that in comparison with last year, this year the factory increased production volumes by 10-12 percent.

Seven production lines are operating at the Baku Textile Factory and all function in continuous mode.

In total, the enterprise employs 300 professional staff members.

The factory has been operating since 1939. It was the first one in the South Caucasus region in the field of textile industry.

The enterprise carries out its activities in accordance with European standards. It has the latest equipment and applies advanced technologies from Germany and Japan.

The factory’s production includes casual clothing, evening gown, children’s clothing, medical clothing, overalls, school uniforms, sportswear, all types of work clothing, promotional clothing and military uniforms.
