Iran's exports via its Bazargan district increases threefold

In the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 - July 22, 2019), Iran's exports of goods via its Bazargan customs in West Azerbaijan province increased threefold in terms of value, an official with Bazargan Customs Administration Sadegh Namdar said, Trend reports via IRNA.

During the reported period, 72,700 tons of goods were exported via Bazargan for 2.82 billion rials (official rate - roughly $67,200; black market rate -roughly $23,500), Namdar said.

He added that compared to the same period of the previous Iranian year, exports of goods increased by 96 percent and 14 percent in terms of value and weight, respectively.

Main export goods were agricultural products, petrochemicals, stones and metals, the customs official said, adding that the main export destinations were Turkey, Georgia, Syria, Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Belgium, Serbia and Germany.
