Turkey’s trade with Iran decreased by $244.780 million in June 2019 compared with the same period last year and amounted to $303.113 million, the Turkish Ministry of Customs and Trade told Trend.
"In June 2019, Turkey’s exports to Iran amounted to $155.597 million, and imports from Iran amounted to $147.516 million," the ministry said.
The ministry noted that Turkey’s trade with Iran also decreased for the first half of 2019, having dropped by $122.619 million (when compared to the same period of the previous year) and amounted to $3.896 billion.
"In January-June 2019, Turkey's exports to Iran amounted to $1.178 billion, and imports from Iran to $2.718 billion," the ministry said.
Turkey’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $26 billion in June 2019.
Turkish exports decreased by 14.3 percent in June (compared to the same month last year) and reached $11.8 billion, while imports decreased by 22.7 percent and reached $14.2 billion.
