Goychay-Sud OJSC, a large Azerbaijani dairy enterprise located in the country's Goychay district, produced dairy products worth 270,000 manat ($158,823) in the first 11 months of 2019, a source at the company told Trend.
According to the source, out of this amount, more than 200,000 manat ($117,647) accounted for the wholesale of dairy products, while the rest fell to share of retail sales.
"Every day, the company produces 700 tons of dairy products. According to the results of the first 11 months of 2019, over 160 tons of this product were cheese. The dairy products of the enterprise are sold on the domestic market and are not intended for export outside the country. Currently, dairy production has increased due to the opening of a new cheese production line. At the same time, cheese production increased by 40 percent compared to last year and it is planned to increase this indicator to 70-80 percent," the source said.
According to the source, the greatest demand is for the Chanakh cheese.
The production of this type of cheese is planned to increase by 2.5-3 times.
The company operates at full capacity and is equipped with modern equipment of Swedish and Italian production.
